POWELL, Wyo. - An informational meeting will be held Monday, Oct. 4, to share details about two Northwest College field studies classes that will travel to Egypt in March. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in Room 70 of the Fagerberg Building on campus.

Greg Smith, an assistant professor of anthropology, and Woody Wooden, an assistant professor of photography, will lead classes in their respective disciplines on a March 10-20 tour of Egypt that spends several days visiting pyramids and museums in Cairo before traveling up the Nile to visit archaeological sites and modern communities. An overnight train ride and boat ride are part of the experience.

Prior to the trip, the anthropology class will meet from 3-3:50 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Community members are invited to participate in the classes, which can be taken for credit or be audited with no class work commitments.

Costs, itineraries and other details will be discussed during the meeting. They’re also available by following the Oct. 4 meeting link on the online calendar.

For more information, e-mail or call Greg Smith at 307-754-6131, or Woody Wooden at 307-754-6187.
