Northwest College Forensics Team members will preview some of their nationals material during a public preview session beginning at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, in the Hinckley Library Amphitheater.
Seven members of the team will offer a preview of the platform speeches, interpretive events and impromptu skills they’ll take to the Phi Rho Pi National Tournament April 10-15 in Washington, D.C.
The presentations are designed for college audiences and are best suited for a mature group. Admission is free.
Competitors at this year’s Phi Rho Pi tournament include Jarely Castro of Greybull, Clinton Cordova of Byron, Connor Hunt of Powell, Nora Minch of Billings, Isaabella Munoz and Emily Myers of Worland and Taylor Rempp of Harrison, Nebraska.
The NWC team most recently traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado, March 23-26, to compete at the National Parliamentary Debate Association.
NWC placed third among community colleges at the tournament. Nationally, the team is ranked eighth amid two-year schools and 35th overall against all community colleges and universities.
