As part of its 2024 Global Studies Seminar on April 12, a group of Northwest College international students will lead a panel discussion titled “From Home to Campus: International Students’ Perspectives on Cultural Exchange and Academic Adaptation”, discussing their personal journeys of transition from their home countries to Northwest College. The event runs from 1:15 to 2:30 p.m. in the Yellowstone Building Conference Center.
The panel includes NWC students from Turkmenistan, Japan, Spain, Brazil, England, New Zealand, Colombia, Russia, and Timor-Leste. The students will share the challenges they have faced along with the triumphs as they’ve learned to navigate the process of cultural exchange and adaptation while bridging their own cultural background with the rigors of a new educational system in the U.S.
The Global Studies Seminar is sponsored by the International and Foreign Language Program at the U.S. Department of Education.
