POWELL, Wyo. - A "Profit 101" growth workshop for small business owners will be offered in Powell and Cody, Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 12 and 13.

The workshop showcases a reliable, proven system for increasing profitable sales. According to Eureka! Winning Ways, it is the only profitable growth system based on scientific methods and is applicable to all types of business. It's intended to help businesses reliably maintain growth year after year.

The "Profit 101" training is presented by a certified profit coach from Manufacturing-Works, the only organization licensed and trained to deliver Eureka! Winning Ways systems in Wyoming.

The Monday, Oct. 12, session will be held from 12:45-5 p.m. at the Northwest College Center for Training and Development on the NWC West Campus in Powell. The Cody session meets from 12:45-5 p.m. the next day, Oct. 13, in Room 2206 of the NWC Cody Center, located in the Park County Complex.

This learn-and-apply coaching program involves participants in a highly interactive simulation of creating growth ideas for a fictional company. In the simulation exercise, participants learn how to improve their team's ability to create more profitable ideas, execute those profitable ideas faster and cheaper, sharpen marketing messages, and laugh and have fun to the benefit of the company. Business leaders can then apply the same principles to their own businesses.

The "Profit 101" training is part of the Eureka! Winning Ways method, which is based on the latest academic research and actual applications of how to best grow top-line sales for small- and mid-size companies. It's been used by many of the largest corporations for over 20 years, and is being introduced to small businesses through the National Institute of Standards and Technology/Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST/MEP), part of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Eureka! Winning Ways concepts and systems have been used to help create and research business building ideas for corporations such as Walt Disney, Nike, Proctor & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Hewlett-Packard, American Express and AT&T.  This system uses scientific methods to help business leaders find, filter and fast track innovations that are meaningfully unique versus those of their competition.

The "Profit 101" training sessions are sponsored by Powell and Cody chambers of commerce, Forward Cody, Powell Valley Economic Development Alliance and the NWC Centers for Training and Development.
