POWELL, Wyo. - Big Horn Basin residents are invited on an aviation adventure Friday, Oct. 21, when the Northwest College Foundation hosts a gala to help launch NWC’s new Aeronautical Science Program.

The event gets underway at 6 p.m. in the Choice Aviation Terminal/Hanger at the old Yellowstone Regional Airport Terminal. Dining, dancing and celebration are all on tap, plus a mini instructional tour of the new program (guaranteed to be more entertaining than the safety videos shown on airplanes).

A few aviation-inspired packages will be auctioned during the night, including a chartered one-day airplane getaway to the winner’s choice of locations (some restrictions apply), a scenic flight over Park County and a hot air balloon ride. Numerous other items will also be up for bid through a silent auction.

All proceeds from the evening will be used to establish an endowed scholarship fund that supports students enrolled in the NWC Aeronautical Science Program. Participants can take satisfaction from knowing their winning auction bids will be doubled by a State of Wyoming program that matches endowment gifts.

The RSVP deadline to book a ticket for the aviation adventure is Friday, Oct. 14. Cost is $50 per person.
