POWELL, Wyo. - Area residents who have an idea for starting a business and those who are already in business can get personal help developing or improving their business plans when the Business Boot Camp returns for a second year Wednesday, Feb. 23.

The seven-session Boot Camp is designed to help participants understand the dynamics that support business growth and greater profitability. The interactive program provides participants practical instruction, tools and strategies to structure for success in business.

It meets from 6-8:30 p.m. most Wednesdays from Feb. 23 through April 20 at the Northwest College Cody Center for Training and Development in Cody.

Sessions follow a building-block approach to starting or growing a business. Topics include an orientation, business intelligence, structure, operations, marketing, finance, customer service, human resources and launching a business.

Experts from across the region serve as teachers and advisers, helping participants through each step as they develop and refine their individual business plans.

Cost is $75, but sessions can be taken individually for $15 each. A minimum of five classes must be taken to receive a completion certification.
