POWELL, Wyo. - Northwest College invites the community to a free theatrical presentation of “Portraits of Courage” Monday, Feb. 10, from 7-8 p.m. in the Nelson Performing Arts Auditorium.

Playwright Colin Cox’s “examination of overlooked African-Americans and their contributions to American history” came about when he realized many of them weren’t included in today’s history books.

“Portraits of Courage” is a live, hour-long presentation by two actors who portray a few of the figures Cox believes helped shape our country, including a gentleman who worked for Alexander Graham Bell.

The program is sponsored by Student Activities, Intercultural Programs and the Diversity Awareness Committee. Admission is free and open to the public.
