Trapper Tailgate on tap Thursday, Sept. 17

POWELL, Wyo. - The Trapper Volleyball Team is planning revenge on the Casper College Thunderbirds Thursday, Sept. 17, and inviting fans to a tailgate party before the game to share the spirit-building fun.

Game time is 7 p.m. in Cabre Gym, but the food and music start at 6:15 outside the gym. The Trapper Booster Club will sell plates with hot dog, chips and a cookie for $2. A volleyball net will be set up for fun play, and the music will be upbeat. NWC Art Club students will help fans get in the spirit with $2 face painting, and a drawing will be held for a Trapper Booster Club lunch cooler.  Fans can also buy a booster t-shirt and have an NWC athlete sign it before the game.

The Trapper volleyball players and Coach Flavia Siqueira will be sharing in the tailgate fun, but they'll be all business on the court, seeking to avenge their loss of last year's Region IX North championship at the hands of the Casper T-birds.

Admission to the game is $3 for adults, $2 for students, and free to senior citizens, children under 12 accompanied by an adult, and NWC students with an ID card.

This and all the Trapper Volleyball home games can be watched live on NWC-TV on Bresnan channel 21 in Powell and channel 17 in Cody, and TCT West channel 39 in Meeteetse and Big Horn and Washakie counties.
