The Northwest College volleyball and women's basketball teams will face off in friendly competition on Friday, April 23. The event will serve as a fundraiser to assist both programs.

Plans for the night call for the two teams to face off at 6 p.m. in a best-of-three volleyball match where each game will be played to 15 points. After a quick reconfiguration of the Hank Cabre Gym, the teams will return to the floor at 7 p.m. for a basketball scrimmage featuring two 10-minute halves.

The event will give fans the opportunity to witness their favorite Trapper sophomores showcase their talents one final time in Powell while also getting a spring peek at the freshmen who will return to campus for another year. Admission for the evening is $1 and donation boxes will be set up for those wanting to further assist the programs.

Members of the Trappers' other athletic programs will be on hand staffing the concession stand and serving as line judges during the volleyball portion of the fundraiser competition.

The night could be a particularly busy one for Trapper freshman Valerie Lesu, who was a member of both the Northwest College volleyball and basketball teams. Similar to the regular season, Lesu is expected to spend part of her night competing for both Northwest College teams in the volleyball-basketball showdown.
