NWC Trappers remain outside top 20

The Northwest College volleyball team scored a notable win last weekend with a five-game victory over Casper College. Not notable enough to sway voters in the latest round of NJCAA volleyball balloting though.

Northwest College remains just outside the top 20 in the latest weekly poll. The Trappers have a chance to change that this week as they traveled to No. 13 Central Wyoming on Wednesday night and host No. 15 Western Wyoming in a 3 p.m. Saturday contest that will be the Trappers’ first home game in nearly a month.

The Trappers carried a 15-10 overall record into Wednesday’s game, which took place after this issue of the Powell Tribune went to press. The Trappers were 6-1 in Region IX North play to begin the week.
