Northwest College freshman Aleksandra Djordjevic was named the NJCAA National Player of the Week last week for her performances for the Lady Trappers volleyball team from Sept. 11-13.
In five matches, all wins for NWC, Djordjevic notched over 100 kills and hit 0.355 while also earning a double-double in every match played. Djordjevic has earned nine double-doubles already this season. The Trappers currently sit at 14-7 on the season.
Djordjevic’s efforts helped the Trappers secure a victory over Northeastern Junior College, as well as the Northeastern Junior College Pizza Hut Invitational title.
