Trapper hoop teams sign one each
The Northwest College women’s basketball team announced Savannah Minder as its latest letter of intent signee. Head coach Janis Beal confirmed the 2010-2011 team captain for Cheyenne East High School would play for the Trappers, starting this fall.

Trapper teams honored by NJCAA
The Northwest College women’s basketball team was recognized by the National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) as a 2010-2011 all-academic team. This marks the second year the Trapper program under head coach Janis Beal has received the distinction.

Rocky standout signs with NWC
Rocky Mountain High School standout Leslie Blackburn will be staying close to home after signing a letter of intent to play basketball for Northwest College next season. Blackburn will join another local product, Powell’s Leslie Thronburg, as members of the 2011 recruiting class.

Thronburg staying close to home with NWC Trappers; Northwest Trapper men also announce signing
Powell High School senior Leslie Thronburg will keep her talents in Powell after signing a letter of intent to play basketball with the Northwest College Trappers for the next two seasons. Head coach Janis Beal announced the signing.

Sophomores Megan Smith and Valerie Lesu each picked up some postseason recognition for the Northwest College women’s basketball program. Trapper head coach Janis Beal noted both were deserving of the honors they received.
