Trappers seventh at nationals
The Northwest College Trappers kept their streak of national top 10 finishes intact and claimed five All-American titles at the 2012 NJCAA national wrestling tournament at Rochester, Minn., over the weekend. Freshman Miles Nixon scored Northwest’s top finish by placing fourth at 184 pounds.

The fifth-ranked Northwest College wrestling team hits the mats this Friday for the NJCAA national championship tournament in Rochester, Minn. The Trappers suit up a full 10- man roster for the tournament, including eight wrestlers nationally ranked in their individual weight classes, placing them on the short list of possible frontrunners.

Ten-acious
The fourth-ranked Northwest College wrestling team fulfilled the number one goal of head coach Jim Zeigler on Saturday by qualifying all 10 of its members to the NJCAA national championship tournament. The Trappers crowned two champions at the West Central Zone championships and placed second as a team.

Trapper wrestlers depart for Kansas
The Northwest College wrestling team flies today (Thursday) to Kansas City in preparation for its regional tournament. According to head coach Jim Zeigler, the team is in the best shape that it has been all year.

Trappers clobber Western Wyoming
Sophomore Keithen Cast was named the 2011 recipient of the Apodaca Award, then had to sit and watch as the seventh- ranked Trapper wrestling team competed without him at the 2012 Apodaca Duals in Powell over the weekend.
