West Central Zone Championships Saturday
The West Central Zone Championships, the qualifier for the NJCAA National Championships, will be conducted at Labette Community College in Parsons, Kan., Saturday. Overall, nine Trappers are scheduled to compete in the event with the goal of reaching the national tournament in Rochester, Minn., Feb. 27-28.

Varnell named Apodaca Award Winner
During the 11th annual Apodaca Dual Showdown at Northwest College last week, Anthony Varnell added his name to NWC wrestling lore and the Trappers notched a 2-2 record against a field of nationally ranked teams.

The Northwest College Trappers will host the 11th annual Apodaca Dual Showdown Friday and Saturday at Hank Cabre Gymnasium, and this year's collection of squads promises to provide plenty of high-caliber competition.

Trappers win rematch with WWCC Mustangs
In November, Western Wyoming Community College's wrestling team entered Powell and squeaked out a 24-23, dual-meet victory against Northwest College. Last Thursday, the Trappers repaid the favor.
