Jim Zeigler, head coach of the Northwest College wrestling team, recently announced the signing of three more student-athletes. Those signing letters of intent to compete for the Trapper wrestling team are Dustin Baldwin, Corey Woodruff and Briston Brenton.

Baldwin, of Nine Mile Falls, Wash., joins the Trappers after claiming a state championship at 215 during the recently concluded high school wrestling season. The three-year varsity letter winner at Lakeside High School, according to Zeigler, is expected to be a good fit with the Trappers because of his approach to competition.

"His toughness is what really stands out," Zeigler said. "He's a hard-nosed guy, and he fits our brand of wrestling. He reminds me a lot of Mak Jones as far as his toughness on the mat."

Jones, currently a senior at Powell High School, signed his letter of intent with the Trappers on April 8.

Woodruff, a senior from Linwood, Mich., also will join the Trappers after claiming the state championship at 152 during the 2007-08 season.

Zeigler also noted that Brenton, a Natrona County High School standout, signed a letter of intent with the Trappers after offering a verbal commitment to the Trappers early in the current signing period, which began April 8. Brenton is a twotime state champion. He won the 140-pound weight class in 2007-08 and at 130 as a junior. He was a state runnerup at 103 as a freshman and finished third at 112 during his sophomore campaign.
