Project Highlights
Vibrancy Campaign for NWC's New Student Center
In 2024, the NWC Foundation completed Vibrancy Campaign, a capital campaign that spanned more than five years and successfully raised $3.5 million to help fund the construction of NWC’s new Student Center. Over 500 alumni, community members, and local businesses made donations ranging from $5 to $250,000. The was boosted by about $1 million of matching gift funds from the State of Wyoming.
Additionally, the Foundation contributed $850,000 in endowment earnings and $500,000 in unrestricted donations, bringing its total amount of support for the Student Center to $4.85 million – helping ensure the new facility would open debt-free.
The two-story, 38,606 square foot building opened in fall of 2024 and features a modern dining hall and bright, safe spaces where students can engage in studying, eating, gathering and leadership. It will also be home to the Outdoor Education program with an academic lab/climbing wall and classrooms, plus the recreation co-op for students and community members. Located at the heart of campus, it will help attract and retain students and enhance out-of-classroom learning and a sense of belonging that captures the Trapper spirit.
