Swift Water and Flood Rescue Technician Course

This is a specialized curriculum for firefighters, search and rescue teams, professional responders and government agencies who need swift water rescue training. This is the most popular swift water rescue course for rescue professionals and covers skills for self-rescue, team member rescue, and patient rescue. Managing rescues, rescues from vehicles in moving water, flood rescue, and river search are also covered.

This water rescue class is the first of three classes needed for personnel to meet the requirements for the Technician Level NFPA 1670 Standard on Operations and Training for Technical Rescue Incidents and the NFPA 1006 Standard for Rescue Technician Professional Qualifications in the area of water.
