Trapper women lose exhibition opener
Northwest College Trappers fell 2-0 to Rocky Mountain College in exhibition soccer action on Saturday. Despite the outcome, head coach Kaylin Olivas was pleased with her team’s performance.

Fall practices begin for NWC
Summer is officially over at Northwest College as student-athletes for the men’s and women’s soccer teams as well as the Trappers’ volleyball program began fall practices on Monday. Teams will hold multiple practices daily in preparation for the official start of the fall season, which is later this month.

Postseason changes coming
The National Junior College Athletic Association approved changes to the postseason tournament structure in both basketball and soccer. The changes were announced following the organization’s spring board of directors meeting in Colorado Springs.

Trapper women upset at Region IX
Late-season scoring woes continued to plague the Northwest College women’s soccer team at the Region IX tournament in Rock Springs. Facing a Western Nebraska team they’d defeated twice in the regular season, the Trapper women were unceremoniously ousted from play with a 2-0 defeat on Friday.
