NWC wrestlers seventh at national duals
The sixth-ranked Northwest College wrestling team finished 1-2 at the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals in Iowa over the weekend. The Trappers were upset in the opening round by No. 12 Southwestern Oregon, a team they defeated just last month, then fell to No. 13 Iowa Lakes in the consolation semifinals.

Trappers prepare for national duals
Sixth-ranked Northwest College dives head-first into second-semester wrestling action this weekend as the school heads to Iowa to compete in the National Duals. The exclusive event will pair the Trappers in head-to-head competition against some of the nation’s top junior college programs.

Trapper wrestlers now No. 6
The Northwest College wrestling team used a positive month of November to climb two spots in the latest NJCAA wrestling poll. After opening the year in eighth place, the Trappers now reside at the No. 6 position.

Trapper dual cancelled
Northwest College officials announced that a Dec. 7 home wrestling dual against Western Wyoming Community College has been canceled. The event will be made up during Northwest College’s Apodaca Duals in January.

Trapper wrestlers place four in top six at Northern Colorado
The eighth-ranked Northwest College wrestling team enjoyed a banner day at the University of Northern Colorado Old Chicago Open tournament last weekend. The Trappers placed four competitors among the top six.
