LANIC - Latin American Network Information Center

From the University of Texas at Austin, LANIC facilitates access to Internet-based information to, from, or on Latin America. Our target audience includes people living in Latin America, as well as those around the world who have an interest in this region. While many of our resources are designed to facilitate research and academic endeavors, our site has also become an important gateway to Latin America for primary and secondary school teachers and students, private and public sector professionals.

LegalTrac [Gale]

LegalTrac provides indexing and selective full-text for all major law reviews, law journals, specialty law and bar association journals and legal newspapers. The database offers coverage of federal and state cases, laws and regulations, legal practice and taxation, as well as British Commonwealth, European Union, and international law

Lester S. Levy Collection of Sheet Music (John Hopkins University)

Includes over 29,000 pieces of American popular music. The collection spans the years 1780 to 1980, but its strength is its thorough documentation of nineteenth-century America through popular music. The collection is especially strong in music spawned by military conflicts from the War of 1812 through World War I, and minstrel music is also well represented. Other topics include music about the circus; dance; drinking, temperance, and smoking; fraternal orders; presidents; romantic and sentimental songs; schools and colleges; and transportation.

Documenting the American South, a digital publishing initiative sponsored by the University Library at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, provides access to digitized primary materials that offer Southern perspectives on American history and culture.

Library, Information Science and Technology Abstracts

(via EbscoHost) Formerly Information Science and Technology Abstracts (ISTA). Beginning in 1960; subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, and information management, the information industry. LISTA indexes more than 600 periodicals plus books, research reports, and proceedings.

Lift Every Voice: Music in American Life (University of Virginia Library)

Explores the history of ballads, hymns, spirituals, patriotic odes, minstrel and musical works, and protest songs of the United States. Includes audio clips, sheet music, images, song sheets and photographs.

LinkedIn Learning

Linkedin Learning, with over 6,500 courses for career development, is available online to all Wyoming residents with a valid library card. Topics include Microsoft Office programs, management skills, marketing, accounting, coding, and more to benefit employees and small business owners in any field. Individuals can take single classes to cater to their specific career goals or follow a predesigned path for structured skill sets.

Literature & Language (Proquest)

Comprehensive coverage of the humanities, arts, and culture with over 1,000 titles in the main subject areas including literature, history, religion, philosophy, and fine and performing arts. Provided through the Wyoming State Library by the University of Wyoming Library.

Literature Criticism Online (Gale)

Includes author biographies and reviews and criticism of their works in contemporary, children, drama, poetry, and short story literature.

Literature Online Core Collection (NWC Off Campus Access Only)
