NWC manhandles Western Wyoming
Fifth-ranked Northwest College handily dispatched in-state rival and No. 17 Western Wyoming 31-12 in a Wednesday night wrestling dual in Hank Cabre Gymnasium. The Trappers won seven of 10 weight classes.

Trapper wrestlers rise to fifth place
The Northwest College Trappers rose one spot to No. 5 in the latest batch of NJCAA wrestling rankings. The new poll - the first since competition began - identifies seven Trappers as being among the top 12 nationally within their weight class.

Two place for Trappers
With three duals and a rugged tournament on the horizon, the Northwest College Trappers opted to give some extra rest to several of its stars. Nevertheless, NWC still returned from the University of Northern Colorado tournament last weekend with a pair of top-six finishers.

Lights out
The sixth-ranked Northwest College Trappers defeated the NAIA's No. 12 Montana State University- Northern 27-15 in home wrestling action last Wednesday. The Trappers won five of the eight contested matches and further benefitted from a pair of forfeit victories.

Trappers sixth in first NJCAA poll
The Northwest College Trappers are ranked sixth in the preseason NJCAA wrestling poll. The rankings were released late last week as junior college wrestling season fired up across the nation.
